Validation of Software/Firmware used in Electronic Ballasts, Power supplies and LED modules for lighting applications. This entails software safety, performance and software reliability of the products. This role would validate the products designed by development teams.
Your responsibilities include:
Perform software qualification tests related to safety and functionality.
Work with the regulatory agencies (e.g. UL, CSA) to obtain relevant assessment of software and firmware.
Document the software validation in written reports.
Follow IEEE standard processes to validate the software on a consistent and effective manner.
Suggest improvements to the design team to improve the software and firmware functionality.
Uses a variety of software assessment tools and test equipment.
Requirements
Demonstrated knowledge of Software/Firmware requirements for electronic products.
Understanding power electronics, e.g. current and voltage waveforms in power conversion circuits is a plus.
Experience in using Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent written and oral skills
Commitment to working independently and in a team environment
Understanding of UL Software Safety Standards a plus.
Requirements:
