Calling all Full Stack software engineers who are interested in using their skills for something really meaningful.

I'm recruiting a software developer for this very cool startup at the forefront of creating new types of cars and vehicles that are highly fuel-efficient. The software team here has been building a distributed, realtime, cloud-based data engine to deal with huge amounts of data gathered from engine and vehicle sensors. A great chance to work on some real world-changing stuff! Not just pie-in-the-sky, but they've got some impressive customers already. Good salary + equity.

Seeking a well-rounded, mid/senior/principal level web application software engineer, with experience in as much of their stack as possible. Currently, they're working with Python, React, Node, Linux, Kafka, Cassandra, MySQL, elasticsearch, Storm, AWS S3 / EC2 / RDS, Google API and various data visualization technologies.

I’m Phil Hurd, the principal of Oculus Search Partners. Software professionals have trusted me as their recruiting partner for 30 years because:
  • Expertise. I earned a BSEE and MSEE, and was a computer engineer before becoming a search and placement professional. You’ll be represented by someone who understands what you do, and knows how to leverage that understanding to create opportunities for you.
  • Reputation. Over 60 LinkedIn recommendations attest to my integrity and effectiveness.
  • Network. I have personally placed, or been involved with placing, several thousand software engineers over my career, and have built a deep network with VPE’s, CEO’s, HR, etc. I can not only open doors for you, but can help you improve your resume, prepare you for interviews, and help you negotiate a strong offer package.
  • No BS. I don’t like when a salesperson pressures me, and I’m sure you don’t want that from a recruiter. You’re a professional, so am I, and my approach reflects that philosophy. And specifically, I will NEVER submit your resume to any company without prior discussion and buy-in from you.
  • Respect. I never forget that this is your job search, and your life, and our interactions will reflect that philosophy.
