Attention music-loving software engineers! Here is your chance to build web applications for a company known for creating software and hardware products used by musicians and audio professionals from Beyoncé's megatours and major Hollywood films to the garage band around the corner. They're looking for a full stack web application developer to join a small team of very smart engineers. This is a place that will give you a lot of creative freedom in how you approach your work.

Your future potential holds even more weight than past track record here. In general, they're seeking a junior to mid level amount of experience, perhaps 1 to 5 year range, with BSCS from strong school. The VP Engineering really likes to see evidence of software projects you've done for fun on your own time, particularly if they involve music or audio. The key technical skills to bring are: Javascript, Python, and HTML/CSS.

I’m Phil Hurd, the principal of Oculus Search Partners. Software professionals have trusted me as their recruiting partner for 30 years because:
  • Expertise. I earned a BSEE and MSEE, and was a computer engineer before becoming a search and placement professional. You’ll be represented by someone who understands what you do, and knows how to leverage that understanding to create opportunities for you.
  • Reputation. Over 60 LinkedIn recommendations attest to my integrity and effectiveness.
  • Network. I have personally placed, or been involved with placing, several thousand software engineers over my career, and have built a deep network with VPE’s, CEO’s, HR, etc. I can not only open doors for you, but can help you improve your resume, prepare you for interviews, and help you negotiate a strong offer package.
  • No BS. I don’t like when a salesperson pressures me, and I’m sure you don’t want that from a recruiter. You’re a professional, so am I, and my approach reflects that philosophy. And specifically, I will NEVER submit your resume to any company without prior discussion and buy-in from you.
  • Respect. I never forget that this is your job search, and your life, and our interactions will reflect that philosophy.
