If you are a .Net developer and seek a good work/life balance, job security and one of the best employee benefits mixes (great for growing families) in the area this could be the opportunity that you're looking for. This is one of those seemingly rare businesses that you could actually plan to retire from. No kidding. I'm not pulling your leg on this issue. You still have to be good at what you do, but this client isn't moving and I see no plans for a future sale. IT management is excellent.
You would be tasked to take over, provide support and enhancements to a very well received in-house developed system that is used by a whole lot of people, both internal and external to the company. Business needs often force internal IT staff to develop systems as purchasable applications are simply not available, due to company specific requirements. So if you prefer software development over purchased software support this could be a good work home for you.
Experience / knowledge required;
Strong oral and written communications abilities.
Software enhancements, design, programming, documentation, test and implementation.
Must be able to work without the need for employer sponsorship either now or in the future.
A BS degree is preferred, but it's what you can do and have done that matters most.
