Major Responsibilities
Summary
The Technical Product Manager (TPM) is responsible for planning and delivering new software products and enhancements to existing software products within one or more IT product lines.  The TPM facilitates prioritization of product features and scheduling of product releases by chairing the product steering committees for their respective product lines.  The TPM then oversees the development and delivery of the planned roadmaps by providing leadership and oversight to the Technical Product Leads who are responsible for a specific product. 
Primary Responsibilities
•    Work closely with IT executive leadership and business functional area owners to set the technical strategy and product roadmaps for products within one or more IT product lines
•    Focus on the business needs and vision of the product and use their technical abilities to drive to successful solutions that improve the usability, adoption, and success of the product
•    Work with the product stakeholders, technical product leads, and development teams to translate roadmap features into manageable components/tasks, estimate timings and resources, suggest solutions and identify possible risks
•    Easily recognize system deficiencies and lead the implementation of effective solutions
•    Identify opportunities to improve department processes and present recommended solutions to IT leadership
Qualifications
•    Experience leading multiple large cross-functional technical teams
•    Demonstrated ability to manage competing business and technical priorities
•    Strong consultative skills 
•    Advanced skill and ability to coach/guide/influence team members and peers
•    Highly proficient at overseeing the development and delivery of robust software for large-scale applications in a fast-changing environment with rapid release cycles
•    Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications
•    Experience with, and a strong demonstrated understanding of, product life-cycle management in an agile setting
•    Demonstrated ability to foster cross-team and intra-team collaboration
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Flexibility to learn and apply new technologies to build highly scalable software
