We are currently searching for a Director of Technology for a Social Networking site in NYC.
The Director of Technology will provide leadership and management in key areas such as software development, site maintenance, fine-tuning, add-ons and deployment, and ongoing software maintenance. Key responsibilities include working with the CEO to establish plans, specs, guidelines and goals for the organization and managing people and processes rather than only technology. The Director will be involved with web development and design systems, leading projects and managing implementations. The company runs on a UNIX platform and Ruby-on-Rails, so experience with both is highly desirable.
- Bachelors degree required.
- Must have experience building and leading teams (including remote teams)
- Software development experience is highly preferred
- Ruby-on-Rails experience is preferred
- Should have experience with and be an active participant in social networking and related applications
